This Privacy Policy applies to the LayerCost app (iOS & macOS) developed and published by 3BT. By using LayerCost, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Data We Collect
LayerCost collects minimal data necessary to provide its features. Most of your data (printers, filament, calculations) is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account via CloudKit. The following categories of data may be collected:
- Account data — If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and, optionally, your email address for account management (via Firebase Authentication).
- Usage analytics — Anonymous, non-personal events such as which features are used and how often (e.g., "calculation completed", "PDF exported"). No names, emails, or personally identifiable information are included. Provided by TelemetryDeck.
- Crash reports — Diagnostic data to help us identify and fix bugs, collected anonymously via Firebase Crashlytics.
- Ad interaction data — If you choose to watch a rewarded ad to unlock a feature, Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the app's features
- To diagnose bugs and crashes
- To understand which features are most valuable to users (anonymously)
- To serve optional rewarded ads in exchange for unlocking Pro features temporarily
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for profiling or targeted advertising beyond what AdMob provides for rewarded ads you explicitly choose to watch.

4. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your account data at any time. To delete your account and associated data, visit the in-app settings or use our account deletion page.
You can opt out of ad personalization at any time through your device's privacy settings (Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising on iOS).
5. Children's Privacy
LayerCost is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
